MetroPCS® Enhances Service Offering with Photo and Data Apps

@metro and PictureTalk® let users swap pictures, download ring tones, games
and other popular applications

DALLAS - February 18, 2004 - Underscoring its commitment to providing innovative, convenient and hassle-free wireless service, MetroPCS announces the launch of @metro and PictureTalk, the newest enhancements to the MetroPCS service offering.
@metro is a data application allowing users to select from a variety of games, ring tones, entertainment and productivity applications, and download them over-the-air to their wireless phones. Powered by Qualcomm's Binary Runtime Environment for Wireless™ (BREW) platform, @metro is available to MetroPCS customers using handsets equipped with this technology, which currently include the Kyocera Rave and Slider and the Audiovox 8900 camera phone.

PictureTalk is the MetroPCS multimedia messaging service (MMS) that allows customers to take and send unlimited digital photos for the flat, low rate of $5 per month, which also includes unlimited text messaging. Using the Audiovox camera phone, MetroPCS customers can take digital photographs and share them with friends by entering another MetroPCS phone number or any e-mail address. Though some wireless service providers offer unlimited picture sharing, there are restrictions that apply making it not available to everyone or for a limited time only. MetroPCS is the only provider giving customers truly unlimited photo sharing and text messaging for $5 per month with no restrictions.
