Opnext awarded for performance by CIENA Corporation
February 3, 2004 Opnext, Inc., a global leader in high performance optical networking components, today announced that it has received CIENA's 2003 Supplier Performance Award. Opnext was selected for demonstrating superior quality, delivery and customer service to CIENA Corporation. The award was presented at CIENA's headquarters, in Linthicum, Maryland on December 10, 2003. "The 2003 CIENA Supplier Performance Award recognized various CIENA suppliers that have shown excellence in performance and support towards CIENA's challenging business activities. Opnext has achieved this required service level and has proven to be an integral member of CIENA's supply chain team," comments Greg Toornman, senior director of corporate purchasing for CIENA.
